About Me

My Story

Hello! My name is Destany Sanchez, and I am currently a Digital Media Innovation student at Texas State University. I reside in San Marcos, Texas, for my studies, but I am originally from the Rio Grande Valley, specifically McAllen, Texas. I have developed expertise in various Digital Media Innovation techniques, including digital marketing and advertising, web development and design, e-commerce, web and mobile content creation, media design, and social media management. Additionally, I have a background in Radio and Broadcasting, Public Relations for non-profit organizations, and the live music industry, as well as Audio Engineering.

Throughout my upbringing, I was influenced by numerous experiences that shaped my interests and ambitions. I owe much of my passion for the music and entertainment industry to my father, who owns a music and historical venue. I had the opportunity to learn about audio engineering and public relations by shadowing him and interacting with touring and local bands. My early engagement with radio began when I participated in an on-air program at my local indie radio station, which offered free broadcasting classes from ages 7 to 17. This experience allowed me to host interviews with local organizations, bands, and visiting celebrities, as well as create my own podcast.

Given my enthusiasm for the entertainment sector, I chose to pursue a degree in Digital Media Innovation to further explore my interests in branding and communication. I am currently seeking a position that will enable me to utilize my creative skills while drawing on my previous managerial experience.
